Four high pressure water jets driven by over 200kWatt pumps are used in the manufacture of special purpose pipe with cutting required to very high accuracy. The machine has nine axes of motion, most controlled synchronously with the requirements of the cutting process. DNC controls the entire process using an application built from the DNC API with special purpose control of the water jets and custom operator interface.
